Pre-Order a Guide for an Obscene Amount of Money and Get a Free Tattoo

Is the tattoo real or fake?
(Updated text)It’s real of course. The artist, Megan Ariel Pulliam, is based out of Walnut Creek, CA. When you purchase a pre-order, you'll want to show Megan your proof of purchase to setup an appointment with her. Then you'll make your own way to Black Sea Tattoos to get inked up in Walnut Creek. 
 
Why climbing tattoos?
We approached Megan about collaborating on Tuolumne tattoos because it sounded fun. That’s all. No grand purpose. She is a great match for the Tuolumne guide. In her own words: “For me, climbing and tattooing have always been linked. I started climbing during my apprenticeship, so as I grew as an artist I also was growing as a climber. I’m excited to be able to combine my two passions for these designs!”
 
How big are we talking?
The marmot and carabiner are about 4 inches tall, while the pinups are about 6 inches. All designs can be color or black and white.
 
What if I want the tattoo but I don’t want a copy of the guide? 
Why are you making this difficult. Sure. Why not. You can have a tattoo for $300 and we’ll donate your copy to an organization or sweetheart of your choice.
 
Wait, when is the guide even coming out? 
The book is well underway, and while we can’t make any promises about when it will ship, we expect the release to be in the first half of 2026. 
 
Who’s making money off of this? 
The tattoo artist, mostly. Once the tattoo artist is paid, all remaining funds will be donated to a local climbing organization.
 
What is even going on here? 
In case it’s not totally 100% crystal clear, you’re buying a tattoo and making a small donation to a California climbing non-profit.
 
Can you say more about the designs? 
Well, you have some options: you can select one of the two climber pinup girls. Or a cute marmot who will steal your heart before eating a hole in your pack… but who can stay mad at that lil guy? Or a landscape of Cathedral Peak. Yes we know it's not a boulder.
